I have heard of some protest rallies at universities that were so detached from common sense and where the people doing it were so unruly they literally didn't let the speaker speak just because he had an opposing opinion. They pretty much just shut the event down. They never involved anything close to hate speech. In one I think the speaker was just against affirmative action, and he was black.
